Freida's Day

Life's been pretty much busy for the past months at work. I've been spending long hours at the office; at least 12 hours in a day... just figuring out how to fix problems being encountered by our people in the Operations.

It's a good thing that I have my sweet darling angels with me in handling such mind-boggling, day to day activities.

My Angels:

Freida (Mamu), Chapz (Nina), Ann (Bunso), Mylene (Bogart)

But last November 20, our dearest Mamu Freida rendered her last day at work being a bachelorette....she'll be getting married on December 8.

We celebrated the day with a simple photoshoot session...just had bonding and kulitan at the office with the inakays. Our daddy yo -- Boss Larry was also around to have fun with us.

Had a wonderful time with my cousins last August 18, 2008. I ended up having a photoshoot session with them outdoors.

Jay Jay and Michelle - 08.08.08

What a better way to commemorate 888 (August 8, 2008), as the Chinese would refer to it as a lucky day, than to celebrate the love for one another...

Claret Batch '94 Reunion

It's been more than a decade since we graduated from highschool. After a couple of meetings and occassions where some of the batchmates got together, the long awaited reunion was then planned and became a reality!

It happened last August 2 at Nommu Bar and Resto, partly owned by a batchmate. Here is an AVP of the event.

Claretians ('94) at Nommu Bar and Resto

It's nice to see faces that you don't get to see anymore everyday. Although more than a decade ago, these faces are actually what you inside classrooms, basketball courts, soccer field, under the trees and most especially "sa likod ng gym (suntukan)".

Taking time to meet these people, amidst each and everyone's busy schedule, is a must! Hearing those funny yet memorable stories over beer with great food and 90's music will definitely make you miss that happy days in highschool!

Well, hope to see more of batch 94 Claretianos on August 2....

Pictures of A little boy

Little Boys

Little boys come in all shapes and sizes,
Shy and adventurous, full of surprises,
With misshapen halos and mischievous grins,
Small dirty faces, and sweet, sticky chins.

They'll keep you so busy, and yet all the while
Nothing can brighten the world like their smile.
And no greater treasure has brought homes more joy
Than a curious, active, and lovable boy!

Morning Delight... Pacquiao vs Diaz

Nothing beats a "morning delight" with friends, booze and another victory by the pambansang kamao...

The boys and I went to see a match, last early sunday morning at Gerry's Grill, between Manny Pacquiao and David Diaz for the WBC Super Featherweight title. The place was jampacked with boxing enthusiasts and fans of Manny. We had a nice time watching because the audience were so lively, especially when Manny won the fight.

It's a pity that I wasn't able to take photos during the match... baka mabasag din kasi mukha ko na parang si Diaz.

Migs' Visit

My godson, Migs, paid me a visit yesterday afternoon together with his parents. His dad, Jonald, is one of my best buds who's been with me since time and memorial. I haven't seen Migs since his Christening last year. It was fun seeing him again, already walking and so jolly!

The couple and I did a lot of catchin up 'coz we haven't seen each other since I left MIAA last year. It's nice to know that things haven't really changed that much! We're still "peoples" eventhough we don't get to see each other that often anymore. It was a pitty that they have to leave so soon.

Well, 'till next time dude!

Bleak Skies

These photos were taken at our place, at dusk, one saturday last May.

The weather was a bit moist as if rain was about to fall hard but the gradiant glow of the sun was still shining upto its last moments, still giving the immense heat that would make the coming night uncomfortable. As I was taking the shots, I recalled some snipits on Al Gore's show "An Inconvenient Truth" where he outstandingly opened the eyes of so many viewers, including me, about the sad things happening to the place that we call home....our beloved Earth.

Its frightening once you think about it... the unpredictable weather brought about by global warming, earthquakes here and there that cause so many lives, volcanoes errupting so often, the increasing water level at seas which now threaten cities at coast-line areas, hurricanes hitting unusual areas that destroy cities and kill so many people... the unending increase in prices of oil products worldwide because of scarcity in the supply!...

If we could just do our part to save our home, even in our own little ways.... maybe it's not yet late.

Amiel's 2nd Birthday

My nephew, AMIEL, turned 2 last saturday. He's our darling little boy who never fails to make me smile everyday with his cute naughty feats! Though he had a slight fever during his birthaday, he still had fun with his baby sister and of course with the "oldies".
