Migs' Visit

My godson, Migs, paid me a visit yesterday afternoon together with his parents. His dad, Jonald, is one of my best buds who's been with me since time and memorial. I haven't seen Migs since his Christening last year. It was fun seeing him again, already walking and so jolly!

The couple and I did a lot of catchin up 'coz we haven't seen each other since I left MIAA last year. It's nice to know that things haven't really changed that much! We're still "peoples" eventhough we don't get to see each other that often anymore. It was a pitty that they have to leave so soon.

Well, 'till next time dude!

Bleak Skies

These photos were taken at our place, at dusk, one saturday last May.

The weather was a bit moist as if rain was about to fall hard but the gradiant glow of the sun was still shining upto its last moments, still giving the immense heat that would make the coming night uncomfortable. As I was taking the shots, I recalled some snipits on Al Gore's show "An Inconvenient Truth" where he outstandingly opened the eyes of so many viewers, including me, about the sad things happening to the place that we call home....our beloved Earth.

Its frightening once you think about it... the unpredictable weather brought about by global warming, earthquakes here and there that cause so many lives, volcanoes errupting so often, the increasing water level at seas which now threaten cities at coast-line areas, hurricanes hitting unusual areas that destroy cities and kill so many people... the unending increase in prices of oil products worldwide because of scarcity in the supply!...

If we could just do our part to save our home, even in our own little ways.... maybe it's not yet late.
